Connecting Generations #GetInTouch

The Premier League is encouraging fans and pupils to #GetInTouch with an older relative, friend or neighbour who may be isolated due to the Coronavirus pandemic, you can #GetInTouch by writing a letter, drawing a poster, making a phone or video call to someone to help them feel supported during the current times.

The lessons can be accessed by schools who are open for keyworkers' children and vulnerable children and can also be used for children at home. If you have any feedback on the virtual lessons, we’d love to hear from you.

Joy of Moving Home School Festivals - Next Week!

Derby County Community Trust are working in partnership with the EFL Trust to deliver a national initiative called the Joy of Moving Home School Festival. This initiative will keep thousands of children in England active during the week commencing Monday 18th May.

The Festival consists of a half day (afternoon) timetable of activities for children to take part in, these activities are designed to inspire active lifestyles in children; everything you need will be available in a digital pack that you can send to parents either by email or by post.

We are aiming to involve as many schools and children as possible throughout Derbyshire during this event, to get involved in the Joy of Moving Home School Festivals all we need is for you to agree to take part and to pass the resources we give you on to the pupils at your school via your current communication routes - if you have children still attending school they can join in the fun too!

If you are interested in your pupils taking part in this brilliant initiative please danny.tomlinson@dcct.co.uk to register your interest and receive your digital pack.
